Preventive youth protection

Voluntary guidance
With preventive youth protection, we guide your family with the consent of all those involved in your family. Preventive youth protection is voluntary. This means that no measure has been imposed by the juvenile court. The youth protector will draw up a plan together with your parents and/or caregivers. It states who will do what to ensure that things become safe for you again.

Preventive youth protection is temporary and is aimed at restoring and improving your own strength and the strength of your family. It is decided at the so-called (youth) protection table whether preventive youth protection will be used. The (youth) protection table is a consultation between several parties, such as the certified institution, the municipality and other youth aid organisations involved.
